Cost Efficiency for Multiple Network Points
Allows your company to gain greater cost efficiency (when multiple customer sites are involved in the transfer of data) especially when compared to using point-to-point circuits. This is possible because Frame Relay allows all remote locations to communicate with the host site over one local access circuit instead of paying for multiple connections as is the case with point-to-point circuits.

Unlike point to point data circuits Frame Relay is not mileage sensitive. Therefore your company can conduct data communications over vast distances without the great expense normally seen by traditional Point to Point data circuits.

Spend less money on customer premise equipment at your host data site because only one local access loop is necessary for all remote locations to communicate with the host location. Typically that means that only one piece of equipment (a router and DSU combination) is necessary for a Frame Relay network host location versus a separate piece of equipment (a Router and DSU combination) being necessary for each remote location's point to point circuit termination at the host data site.
